Recycled Aluminum: Thailand's New S-Curve
'Aluminum' is a crucial raw material for the construction, automotive, electrical equipment, machinery, and packaging sectors. Its outstanding properties include durability, light weight, rust resistance, and the ability to be recycled endlessly while maintaining its original quality. In 2020, global aluminum consumption exceeded 86 million tons, averaging '230,000 tons per day.' Although Thailand does not have primary aluminum smelters, it is an important production base in the region. Thailand exported approximately 400,000 tons of aluminum in 2022, with 4-5% going to Europe.
